Remember His Words

“Then they remembered his words.”  (Luke 24:8)

The women came to the tomb carrying the weight of grief, fog of uncertainty, and disappointment. Everything they had hoped for seemed buried. But in that sacred moment, God intervened. And they were reminded of what Jesus had already spoken: He would suffer, be crucified, and rise again. “The son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.” (Luke 24:7)

Their circumstances had not changed yet, but their remembrance did. Hope returned when they remembered His words.

How often do we do the same? We allow fear, doubt, or sorrow to cloud what God has already promised. Yet even in the fog of uncertainty, His truth remains steady. When we remember His words, we are reminded that Jesus is alive, God is faithful, and His promises still stand.

Reflect: What truth from God’s Word do you need to remember today?

Take Action: Step out of the fog of fear and unbelief. Choose today to stand on the truth of God’s Word, trust in His divine intervention, and live in remembrance of your Savior and King.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word that brings hope when my heart feels heavy and my faith feels weak. Help me remember what You have spoken, especially when fear and doubt try to take over. Remind me that Jesus is risen, Your promises are true, and Your love is constant. Strengthen me to walk in truth, humility, purpose, and love. Today, I choose to remember Your words and trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
