Fully Convinced

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness,” (Romans 4:20-22).
Waiting is hard. Our minds race, wondering when an opportunity will come our way, someone will have a change of heart, or whether we will ever feel normal again. We wait in silence. We wait in chaos. We wait right where God has us.
Waiting is an opportune time for growth. We are given space to reflect, plan, and prepare. Moses knew this, and instead of allowing his thoughts to spiral, he embraced the margin God provided him and grew strong in his faith. He glorified God in his waiting. He trusted God’s timing and plans. He clung to the promises of God, knowing that God’s faithfulness would prevail.
We are given a choice in our waiting. We can sink into the confusion and unsettledness of disappointment while relying on our own timing, or we can develop ourselves and prepare our hearts and minds, leaning into the trusted faithfulness of God.
Periods of waiting are moments of becoming if we pursue God’s goodness through His Word. Praising, thanking, and trusting Him changes our perspective from self-reliance to God-reliance. We are reminded of His character, provision, and guidance, understanding that He will do as He has promised.
Do not allow unbelief to wiggle its way into your relationship with God. While waiting, seek God’s Word and grow in your relationship with Him. Surrender your timing for His because even though we may not understand the waiting, our Heavenly Father is at work on your behalf. Let’s rest assured in His timing! Let’s do it together!
Prayer: Jehovah Jireh, we praise You from whom all blessing flow. Our minds cannot comprehend Your timing, so we ask that You encourage and guide us as we delve deeper into our relationship with You. Throughout the duration of our waiting, we pray that You fill our hearts and minds with a clear understanding of Your character and love for us. Develop our faith in You and may we surrender to Your perfect will for our lives. May we always remember Your goodness and mercy as we grow closer to You during this time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
